We started off with our first social site Twitter. Twitter to me was my favorite site to discuss because I am very active on my twitter. I have 159 followers and I follow 108 people. My top ten followers are: @nickiminaj, @aaliyahjay, @makebagarrett, @brysontiller, @therealbamkitty, @kenwalker, @kennedyx, @dollfacebeauty, and @shayaunaalexis. Twitter is my go to zone, when I want to laugh or vent how I am feeling with no judgement.

Linkedin was a site I knew much of nothing of until i entered this class. Linkedin is a professional website for people who want to connect with someone or network on a business aspect. Mr. Harwood explained to us how important it was for young college professionals to connect on Linkedin with people. I am connected with eleven people who have graduated from South Carolina State, and a few were broadcasting majors.

Pinterest was another one of my top favorite media sites that we reviewed in class. Pinterest allows you to create and put together different styles of "boards" on whatever you like. You can also pin other followers boards to your wall or board as well. I have over ten boards and each board is composed of different things. For example, my favorite two boards are "Fashion Alert" and "Sense of Style". Those are my favorite because i love fashion and putting clothes together to come up with the perfect outfit for any occasion. I have no dislikes about Pinterest, because the basics of the website allows you to do just what it is performed to do.

I've used Prezi in high school for one presentation and haven't used it since until being in this class. Prezi to me is a more advanced Microsoft Powerpoint. It allows users to create presentations and make it into a mini movie or slideshow on anything. In class using Prezi, Mr. Harwood wanted us to create a top ten list of any choice of our preference. I chose to create a top ten list of my favorite television shows. Prezi is unique because you can create a mini motion picture and be able to present it.
My green screen project was definitely an interesting project that I found quite difficult to be honest. It was different for me as well as other because we had to find a picture, any picture, and mimic a similar pose or basically blend in with the phone as well. It was very fun and unique to watch my classmates come up with different ideas and views for this project!
And last but not least Kizoa was an all around media site I had never heard of ever! Our class was told to create a Kizoa including pictures of the various bulldogs around campus. There wasn’t many bulldogs to work with so at this point I had to improvise. Kizoa is a website used to create a picture slideshow of anything you want. You can include different fonts, themes, add music, voice to hers, and make it really unique and fun! I wouldn’t change too much about Kizoa, but possibly updating to make it more futuristic. I had fun creating my slideshow with the “bulldog” theme, and I would definitely use it again!
Overall, this has been a very fun experience in Media Production. Mr. Harwood made it very up to date and easy to understand. He kept up with the timeline of what his students use today for social media platforms as well as introduced us to various other sites that can help us in the future. I plan to use sites like LinkedIn and Prezi in the near future from what I have learned in this class. Thank you Mr. Harwood for teaching us the various basic and techniques of these social sites!
